Parents, join us for a two-day parenting conference, Parenting From the Same Playbook. The conference is tailored for moms, dads, and single parents alike! Embrace the opportunity to connect, be encouraged, and gain invaluable insights from expert speakers. The cost is $10 per person or $20 per couple—childcare is included! Speaker Bios:
Lauren McKenzie, M.A., C.P.C.
Adults get emotionally worn out when kids are difficult to deal with, and this wreaks havoc in every area of their lives. Lauren McKenzie is an adult-child relationship strategist. Using a proven framework, she shows grown ups how to take control of their emotions and positively engage with kids so they can gain cooperation, escape overwhelm, and show up as the best version of themselves.
With an extensive background in education, the specialization of a certified professional life coach, and a heart to point families toward the truth of the gospel, Lauren guides families on their journey from chaos to calm.
Ric and Carla Callahan
Ric and Carla Callahan have ministered together for over 40 years. Ric currently serves as Pastor to Families at Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL. Carla recently retired from teaching in the Alabama public school system. Over the years, Ric has served churches in Alabama, Texas, and Georgia. He is a graduate of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Seminary. Carla graduated from The University of Alabama. They have two adult daughters and three foster grandchildren. Together, they have led numerous seminars and trainings in churches and conferences around Alabama. They especially love helping others in the areas of marriage and parenting. They love to spend time with family. Some of their favorite activities are hanging out at the lake, camping, and going to movies.
